Alert Level 2 - FAQs for QMC Patients

Are all clinics and appointments back to normal?

Yes and No.

The Yes part:  All clinics and appointment types that were temporarily suspended during Alert Levels 3 and 4 are coming back as of week commencing 13 September - e.g. Smear Clinics, Immigration Medicals, Company Medicals.

All three practices are open (as they were at Levels 3 and 4)

The No part:  We do still require some of our appointments to be via telephone instead of face-to-face. This is so that we can maintain physical distancing of 2 metres as required during Alert Level 2.

I have Covid symptoms but I still want to come in for my appointment. Can I do that?

Yes but only at Isle Street and only if you have not been contact traced or in a "location of interest".
If you have been contact traced or to any of the locations of interest then we will ask you to not come in the building and instead call us on 03 441 0500 to book in for a test. We would then want the results to come back negative before you come in for your pre-booked non-Covid related appointment.

Remarkables Park and Arrowtown surgeries remain a "green zone" which means that we cannot see Covid-symptomatic patients at either practice. Please bear this in mind when booking appointments.

Are opening hours back to normal for Urgent Care (Isle St)?

Yes from Monday 13 September, we will be back to our closing time of 8pm.

What about my Covid-19 vaccine?

QMC is currently vaccinating at Memorial Hall (1 Memorial St) up to and including Saturday 18th Sept. We are likely to then move vaccinations back to Isle St at reduced numbers to allow for social distancing. Bookings can be made on bookmyvaccine.co.nz
