Tracy McLean

Tracy holds a NZ Certificate in General and Obstetric Nursing with a Post Graduate Certificate in Health Science.  Originally trained through Wellington Hospital, she graduated in 1984 and worked in Paediatrics before moving into Practice Nursing in 1990.  She has continued in Practice Nursing since that time both in Wellington and Queenstown.

Tracy moved to Queenstown in 1994 for lifestyle choice and to live in a great place to raise her children, with all the outdoor activities that Queenstown offers. She initially could not secure nursing work, so worked in administration and retail until she joined the QMC team in 2002.

She was employed as a Practice Nurse initially, and added Sexual Health to her skill set in 2004.  In 2007, she completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Health Science at Auckland University in Sexual and Youth Health. Tracy now works exclusively in Sexual Health and Family Planning.

Outside of work, she enjoys road cycling; hiking; skiing; water skiing and travel.  She is married with 3 grown children who luckily still enjoy returning to this magnificent town.
