Whether you are heading off on your OE, climbing in Nepal, surfing in Indonesia or just going for a week to one of our local Pacific Islands we can provide you with comprehensive up-to-date travel health information.
Our clinics are staffed by specially qualified doctors and nurses who have post-graduate qualifications covering travel, tropical and wilderness medicine. We are an approved Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre.
Be prepared! It is advisable to make an appointment at least one month in advance of travel. We recommend a full travel consultation, but in exceptional circumstances it may be that a "vaccine only" consultation is appropriate. Travel health is not just about vaccinations, so a full consultation covers what you will need to know for your overseas travel. There is an increased risk of all illness and exposure to diseases which are not present in New Zealand and we aim to ensure that you have done everything possible to maintain good health while you are away. Any follow up vaccinations required will incur a small charge (in addition to the vaccinations) rather than a full consultation. To help keep costs down, we are happy to see couples, friends and family who are travelling together.
You can arrange an appointment by contacting reception on (03) 441 0500. Clinics are held at our Isle Street practice.
If you have a question about whether an appointment in the Travel Clinic is needed for your circumstances, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Clinic staff are generally widely travelled and have a wealth of personal experience to draw on including expedition medicine, travelling with young children and adventure travel.
