About Us

Queenstown Medical Centre

The Queenstown Medical Centre team continue a long history of excellence and commitment to the delivery of primary health care in the Wakatipu.

Our practice was originally set up by Dr Pat Farry in 1970. Passionate about growing and improving rural health services for New Zealanders through bringing clinicians together, Pat was a pioneer in this field. We are proud to continue his legacy.

Today, QMC is led by 10 long-standing GP shareholders and a team of associate Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses and support staff. Our team are specialist providers of primary care services with a broad range of skills and expertise. We are a trusted first port of call for any health issue for both our local community and visitors with many of our clinicians having developed interests in specific areas of medicine such as skin lesions and allergies.

We are also complimented by a wide range of other visiting specialists and can recommend or refer to other specialists New Zealand wide.

We are pride ourselves in looking after the “whole “ you, bringing together all aspects of your health.

As an enrolled patient you can be seen at any of our four clinics located centrally in Queenstown, Arrowtown, Jack's Point and Remarkables Park. Visitors can drop into our Urgent Care Clinic  (at 9 Isle Street), it is the only 365 day a year Urgent Care Clinic in the Wakatipu.
