2026 Flu bookings are now open

As summer winds down and the cooler months approach, it's time to start thinking about protecting yourself and your whānau from the flu. This year QMC have flu vaccinations in nurse appointments across all three of our practices - Isle Street, Remarkables Park and Jacks Point.

When to get vaccinated

Patients can now make bookings to get their flu vaccinations.

Bookings are available from the 1st of April, however clinical guidelines recommend the most effective time to be vaccinated is from the end of April.

This timing guidance helps ensure you receive the most effective protection throughout the winter months. Getting vaccinated at the recommended time helps maximise your immunity for the peak of flu season.

Funding

Patients who are 65 years and older, as well as those with eligible health conditions, can receive their flu vaccine at no cost. A full eligibility criteria guide is available in our detailed blog here.

Fees for Non-Eligible Patients

For patients who do not meet funded criteria, the following fees apply:

Ages 6 months - 64 years: $35.00

Ages 50+ Fluad vaccine*: $49.00 (This is a non-funded option for patients of this age demographic.)
