We’re thrilled to announce the opening of our brand-new Queenstown Medical Centre practice at Remarkables Park—an exciting milestone that reflects our commitment to evolving with our community and delivering care that’s not only accessible but deeply considered.

A Practice Designed for the Future

As the population continues to grow in the suburbs beyond Frankton, and as commercial development accelerates in the area, Frankton is emerging as a central hub for the Wakatipu Basin. Our new practice responds to this growth with a purpose-built facility that meets today’s needs while anticipating tomorrow’s.

The new clinic features nine consulting rooms, modern facilities, and extended weekday hours from 8:15am to 4:45pm.

It’s designed to support a higher volume of patients while maintaining the personal, attentive care QMC is known for. With ample parking, lift access, and a bus stop right outside, getting here is easy—whether you’re coming from across town or just around the corner.

Thoughtful, Patient-Centred Design

From the beginning, this space has been shaped by a simple question: “What will make our patients feel welcome, calm, and cared for?”

The answer lies in the principles of biophilic design—an approach that brings the natural world indoors to support wellbeing. You’ll notice it in the use of natural light, calming colour palettes, and materials that echo the textures of our local landscape. These elements aren’t just aesthetic; they’re evidence-based strategies to reduce stress and enhance healing.

We’ve also incorporated feedback from our team and community to ensure the space works for everyone. From bilingual signage and music selection to the inclusion of an on-site theatre for minor procedures, every detail has been considered.

A New Chapter, Rooted in Community

While we’re excited about what’s ahead, we also acknowledge the significance of change. The closure of our Arrowtown clinic on 29 August marks the end of an era, and we’re grateful for the years of connection and care shared there. For Arrowtown patients, we’re here to support you through the transition—whether that’s helping you activate Manage My Health or simply showing you around the new space.

We’re also proud to continue our presence in Jacks Point and Isle Street, ensuring continuity of care across the region.  

Notably, our Isle Street location is home to the only Urgent Care clinic in the Wakatipu Basin, where we proudly offer discounted fees to our enrolled patients. The clinic is open 7 days a week, providing timely, accessible care when it’s needed most.
